Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown
Shift: 3x12s | Days | 36 hrs/week
Duration: 8-13 weeks

Overview

Join a team committed to high-quality care, patient and staff safety, and compassionate rehabilitation. As an RN in the Stepdown Unit, you will deliver direct care, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and supervise LPNs/CNAs/orientees while following individualized care plans and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete full patient assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Create and execute care plans and patient education
• Collaborate in rehab care and discharge planning from day one
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation (Epic)
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Delegate and supervise effectively
• Uphold hospital safety policies (10-Foot Safety Circle, fall/infection prevention)
• Participate in team building, orientation, and continuing education
• May serve in charge role after orientation

Requirements

• License: Active RN license
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Required prior to first shift)
  • ACLS (Required for CIRH only)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience
• Charting: Epic
