Cardiac Rehab Nurse

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains cultural awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon. The Registered Nurse provides care to adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older, this includes inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehab.

What you will do in this role:

• Must demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist.Meets mutually-agreed upon performance goals and objectives as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
• Must be flexible, work at a fast pace and manage several assignments at one time
• Maintain positive interdisciplinary contract with other departments and health care professional

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
• Current licensure with the TN Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire or promotion.
• Preferred 2 years nursing with Telemetry experience.
