Job Description:
Position: registered Nurse
Specialty: Neuro ICU
Facility: Chesapeake Regional Medical Center
Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320
Duration:13 weeks( Highly possible extension)
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract
Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit. May also be floated to ED/Med Surg to care for ICU patients being held
Skills required: Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke), Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia and emergency management
Patient populations include:
Neurosurgical and post-stroke
Respiratory Failure
Renal Failure
Post-surgical
Trauma
Sepsis and MODS
Heart failure and post-cardiac cath

Requirements: 3 years CC experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years) travel experience preferred.EPIC charting experience requiredCOVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions OnlyCertification:BLS-AHAACLS-AHANIHSS requiredState License Requirements: VirginiaCompact#HCHS
